Why was K2 Wind Created?

Our principal benefactor has been a pioneer in renewable energy development for the last 25 years. In this time, he has seen many of the environmental challenges facing communities across the world. In 2014, our principal directors, Kelsey and Keegan, combined forces with one of the largest private renewable energy companies in the world to create the K2 Wind Foundation. Together they aimed to tackle many of the pressing environmental issues facing our planet. The K2 Wind Foundation was founded with the simple, yet challenging goal of trying to educate behaviors whilst improving the environment—reduce pollution, clean up the world’s oceans, and promote safe and effective waste management for people around the world. Over the past few years, the K2 Wind Foundation has and continues to partner with many organizations worldwide to try and make a difference both at home as well as in developing countries to bring about positive change around the world.
